"Why would I think of someone like him? I'm only thinking of my duty to the pack, and you know, he may just want to have a word with you since you two agreed to the success of this trip," Ruby whispered back, and Carrick let out a loud breath.
"At the same time, Ruby, he's crossing your mind. Should I just end it all?" His voice sounded grim, which made Ruby laugh, but he was serious about his statement.
"You don't believe me, right? Do you want to watch me do it?" Carrick demonstrated his intentions by placing his palms around Ruby's neck, about to snap it. But Ruby let out a muffled scream, and he let her go again.
"Yeah, I know he's caused a lot of havoc for me and this friendship between us, but that doesn't mean he has to die," Ruby murmured. She didn't want her sister
