Ruby's POV
Ruby lowered her back and stood away from him at close range, cautiously watching the steps of the big bad wolf. Stale blood stained its lips, and its steps were heavy. It trampled over the injured wolves as it advanced toward her.
Ruby was well aware of the rogue’s dangerous build and knew she had to be extremely careful with her first move. She bared her teeth in confidence, and it let out a deep growl in return, charging at her.
She launched herself forward, aiming for its paws to bring it down, but it moved quicker and dragged her to the ground before she could react. Her teeth sharpened and long claws slid from her palms as she swiped at it, but missed, clawing the ground instead.
