Ruby's POV
Ruby dumped a heap of files on Tyrus's table and, with a tired look on her face, dropped into the seat in front of it. Next to her was Tyrus, who didn't say a word when she entered his office. Neither did Ruby.
It had been a week since she fought off the rogues in front of the farmer's hut, and no one threatened the farmers to do what they did. They eventually brought her fresh tomatoes, good food, coupled with a series of apologies from their lips.
Everything they brought to her compensated for their previous misdeeds, and Ruby looked over their past errors. It warmed her heart to see them do the needful.
She flipped through the pages of the files in front of her. As the Beta, she needed to cross-check some documents and files to make sure they were up-to-date and accurate.
