Ruby's POV
His scent grew heavy in her nostrils, and she dropped the files she had already checked. Even though it made a loud thud on the table, Tyrus didn't look her way until a soft knock came at the door.
Her chest tightened, and fear won her for a moment until the gamma showed up. He stood by the doorway and lowered his head as he turned to Tyrus, who raised his gaze now.
"The guests are here, Alpha," Cannon said. "They have now arrived at the pack."
Ruby's eyes grew large. Guests? She took another look at Tyrus, who didn't seem surprised by Cannon's statement. How could he bring guests to the pack without the Beta's knowledge? He was intentional about limiting his friendship with Ruby. She cackled at that until the real guest revealed his face.
