Ruby's POV Ruby’s eyes swept across the stage. Carrick held her hand as his gaze roamed over her body. She felt timid, and even though she had long anticipated this moment, she wanted to step away from the stage. Fear gripped her as the wolves glared at her like she had stolen the heart of their Alpha. “Look at me, not them,” Carrick said, gently turning her face toward him as his hands wrapped warmly around her waist. Then, his music came on, the same song they had danced to in Tyrus’s pack. She couldn’t help but drown in that memory. She loved it. She loved the beat because he had loved it first. He moved her swiftly to his left, his large palms caressing her lower back. His gaze met hers as he whispered words of affection while they swayed together to the slow rhythm of the music. R
