Ruby's POV
Carrick slammed the door shut behind him as he dropped into his chair. It was early in the morning. He had just dropped Ruby off at her room and was now back at his desk to review and respond to the letters piled up before him, as well as to organise the files his Beta had prepared and left there.
He turned on the lights and began skimming through the pages...declining some Alphas' invitations to purchase stock from their stores or to allow their wolves to train in his pack, and accepting others. A loud yawn escaped his lips as he leaned back in his chair, drumming his pen against the table.
