Ruby had woken up hours ago. She hadn’t even bothered to sleep after returning from the internal field where she had s*x with Carrick. That intense sex...for two straight hours. Her legs were still shaking, and though she was trying to regain some energy, sleep refused to come.
Maybe it was her wolf trying to tell her something. Either way, she couldn’t sleep. So she stood up and moved to the window. She stared at the sky as memories of her parents flooded her mind.
