Carrick took several steps forward and crouched beside her bed, staring at her face. "Ruby, what the hell..."
Ruby was stunned to see him again. She froze in bed. She didn’t know what emotion to show. Did he come back to stay with her now? Or had he returned to break her heart again and make her feel like the rogue she was slowly becoming?
