Ruby's POV
Carrick was still in the living room when he woke up at daybreak. He tried to check up on Ruby, but a loud knock on the door diverted his attention. He shifted his gaze toward it.
Who could be knocking so hard at 6 a.m.?
He peeked through the peephole and saw a face he had never seen before. He pushed the door open and stood by it, watching as the man stood there with several other wolves roaming around him, as if they were his backup.
"We have found her," the man said to his companion, who quickly stepped up to the doorstep.
