“Go away, you monster!”
“Found you~~”
A scream echoed in the dark. The sound of various heavy metals hitting the ground followed closely by the sound of someone’s furious footsteps. Behind the pair of hurried footsteps were a pair of leisurely steps. There was also a calm female voice counting down.
“....14..13..12...11..10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1….Time’s up, Marcus!”
Like an arrow released from a bowstring, she shot off. Marcus got a head start but it didn’t matter. She soon caught up to him and in one blow, stopped his advance. He crumpled to the floor like a rag doll, flying all the way to the entrance. Gathered around the entrance were the workers that were still undismissed.
