Chapter 31

Cara's P.O.V.

As I laid out on my bed relaxing waiting for a response from Shawn, I felt saddened. I reminiscenced on how many nights we slept together and how I wished he was here holding me. My thoughts were interrupted when Adrian walked in and locked the door. " How are you feeling Cara?" he smirked at me as I just looked him up and down. He looked at me as though I was something to devour and I truly was afraid. There was no one here to save me from him and I trembled in fear. He sat down beside me on the bed and I just looked at him.

" Cara, he's not coming back so you might as well enjoy the idea that we are going to be together. I want to taste you so bad" he said as put his hand on my leg and started to rub it. I just shook my head, " Remember the doctors orders, I'm supposed to take it easy right now" as he got closer to me and brushed my hair away from my cheek. " Let me pleasure you, that will release some of your stress" he said as he got a firm grip on my leg and I tried to move away but he was too strong. He got on top of me and I saw Adrian wink at me as he slowly unzipped my pants. " Please Cara...just a taste" as I put my legs together trying to keep him at bay but failing miserably.

I didn't want to hurt him, I just wanted him to leave me alone. As he started to put his hands down my pants, there was a knock on the door. " Your highness, your mother needs to see you at this moment" one of the maids said. Adrian loosened his grasp on me" I will be right down" I said quickly as I got out of his grasp. He had this look on his face of lust and anger but I couldn't help that.

" We will finish this later, no matter what" he said through clenched teeth as he got up and left my room. I sighed and hurried downstairs to my mother's garden room. As I entered I heard hushed voices talking. I opened the door and there stood my Uncle Ken talking to my mother. I just stood there in shock, " What are you doing here?" I asked him as he chuckled and gave me a hug. But through his laugh, I saw his tear stained cheeks. He held me in his arms for a moment then spoke, " Your Aunt has gone missing" he said as I looked back at him in fear.

Shawn's P.O.V.

The paperwork that I had found alongside the pictures, were enough evidence to convince anyone that the King was not who he said he really was! It showed where the Supreme Kremlins had been caught and how they drafted a contract with the Russian Mafia on how to keep a constant business deal, as long as they went through with the marriage of the King's sister in law, Dana. She was to be wed to one of the older Russian mob bossess. Since the Kremlins were unsuccessful in overthrowing the Russians, King Lorraine made that deal with them. With this new found information, I had all I needed to get Cara back. I was just hoping that I wasn't too late in my efforts.

I quickly exited the Bank looking for a cab of some kind to take me to the palace. Normally I wouldn't do such, but I was on a time crunch. Before I had a chance to get one, the guy who had followed me into the bank came up from behind me and tried to knock me down. He wasn't fast enough as I whipped around and punched him in the shoulder. He and I started going after each other as I kicked him with my left leg as I dodged his right hook. Then out of nowhere someone hit me from behind and I went out.

Cara's P.O.V.

" What do you mean, Aunt Dana's gone?" I asked as Uncle Ken just looked at me sadly. " I don't know, but she is unreachable. I have tried everything to find her but I cannot" he said as he looked at me defeated. I looked to my mother and her tear stained eyes as she held herself. " What do we do?" I asked as my mother nodded for me to follow her. " We must keep an extra vigilant eye on you Cara. I have a feeling that she is gone due to what happened all those years ago with the Russians" my mother sighed. " Well, then where do we start? Where is Shawn?" Ken asked us as my heart broke at hearing his name.

" He's been dismissed" I said as Ken looked at me. " Why? He was the best thing to ever happen to you. Besides I know he would know how to find your Aunt as well " he replied and I just shrugged my shoulders. "Ask my father, he is the one who sent him away." I said as I sat down and put my hands in my face.

My Uncle just sighed and sat down next to me, holding me close like he used to. It was comforting to have that feeling again. " Are you staying here?" " Yes, if your father will allow it" he replied as I had an idea come to mind. " Would there be anyway that you could sleep in the room next to mine for old time's sake? I would feel safer with you being there" I asked him as he pulled me in for another hug. "Of course my Princess" my heart felt lighter at the news of him being close to me.

Shawn's P.O.V.

I awoke to an awful stench and a dark place in which I was sitting at. There were two other chairs occupied by a woman and a man next to me. I heard Russian being spoke in the distance, as it got closer to me I pretended to be asleep to hear what they were saying. "Zhenshchina vazhna, my ne mozhem yeye otpustit" ( The woman is important, we cannot let her go) The man who watched me said as the other man he was with replied, "Da, my dolzhny soobshchit' korolyu, chto u nas yest' ona i telokhranitel" (Yes, we must let the King know we have her and the bodyguard) .

As I heard them, one of them pushed me to see if I was awake but I didn't move much to pacify them. They walked by the woman and nudged her and she awoke. " What am I doing here? Please let me go.. I don't know what you want" she cried as I just watched her from the side of where I was sitting. " Don't worry pretty lady, we won't hurt you. But you will make a beautiful bride for our boss" one of them said to her. She just looked at them shocked as I tried to reach my watch. In my watch was a signal that was embedded that Vlad would be able to come to my aid if I ever needed him. As I pushed down on the watch, one of the men noticed my movement. " Hey you are awake, good timing" he said as he pulled my neck up so that my head would come up to his level. " The boss will be here soon and we will finish this" he said laughing evily. I just hoped that Vlad received my signal or else.
