In most absolute relationships, a man, or a lover, claiming you as ‘mine’ is usually termed ‘romantic’ or ‘hot’ I wasn’t really into romantic books or novels as an adult, but when I was a teenager, I used to be in an online group, filled with fans obsessed with men being possessive and obsessive over their women.
That was where I learned the term ‘book boyfriend’ and most delusional teenagers would even claim the most possessive book boyfriend and make try to make their boyfriend like them, or even fantasize about their book boyfriends and not find any man romantically enough for them.
Those were the fun days…but in my situation, Theron claiming me as ‘mine’ wasn’t romantic or hot in anyway, it was in fact threatening.
