CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT The minutes dragged. Monica sat on the edge of the bench, her leg bouncing restlessly. Annalise stood with her arms crossed, scanning the path as if expecting something to jump out of the shadows. Finally, movement caught Monica’s eye.
