Alistair attempted to keep to himself for the rest of the day, spending most of the morning cooped up in his room playing computer games. Not exactly what he had planned but he was greatful Sasha had left with Jason, but not before ensuring one of the guards accompany him for the rest of the day. He could hear the occassional pacing outside his bedroom door, indicating the warrior wolf was still there. Alistair knew the wolf would much prefer other duties over babysitting the rebel Prince.
He was even further down on his luck by the afternoon when Ethan barged into his room, barking at him 'What the hell were you thinking?'
Alistair made an effort to avoid eye contact with his best friend instead focusing on his new game, heck he wanted to avoid the conversation all together going as far as picking up and putting on the nearby headset to block out the noise. Of course Ethan pulled them off and switched off the monitor, before sitting on the coach next to him.
Alistair gritted his teeth before letting out a long breath, 'clearly I wasn't' he said defeated. Ethan gave him the whole nothing new there look before leaning his head back against the settee and letting out a sigh, 'Its one thing to go off on your own but to drag Jason along, he is only 14 and whats more it was his first day of training'. Alistair remained silent gazing at the blank screen hanging on the wall, whilst Ethan stated the obvious 'You know Sasha is fuming with you' a deep far away look glazing his eyes.
Placing the controller beside him Alistair turned to Ethan, 'I didn't invite the kid' stating matter of factly. Which for all intensive purposes was true, Jason had bumped into Alistair at the edge of the wood after giving Sasha the slip, inviting himself along. Of course Alistair didn't attempt to turn him away and liked the idea of having some company. Had he have known the consequences of that decision at the time, he would have given the young pup the slip.
'You know what he is like, though I am surprised Sasha didn't kill you then and there' Ethan mused a smile twitching at gis lips.
'Well if looks could kill' Alistair smiled letting out a small laugh as he looked towards his friend.
Ethan smiled patting Alistairs back roughly, 'well it's your funeral when she gets her teeth in you' and with that the two friends burst into laughter.
Wiping away the tears streaming from his eyes Alistair looked at his friend once more, 'so what did my uncle say'
'He is pissed but luckily for you he has been sent out to speak to the alpha of Silver Dusk, seems there's been some trouble in the eastern territories', Ethan seemed troubled by the news but Alistair was relieved to avoid his uncles wrath. And if his luck held out his uncle would forget the matter completely. Taking himself away from his selfish thoughts Alistair tried to lighten the mood 'Dont worry yourself about it, probably just some rogues wondering across the border, anyway wanna play this new game we can do a bet to make it more interesting'.
'Sure, but if I win you need to apologise to Sasha and Jason'
'Really? Out of everything you could have asked for, don't tell me you still have the hots for her' Alistair smirked, he hit the nail on the head when he saw Ethan's cheeks flush red. Of course Ethan was right he owed them both an apology, he just wasn't looking forward to the conversation and dealing with a hot head like Sasha.
'Ok deal, but if I win we go for a run down near the silent lake', Ethan quickly caught onto his plan but decided to go with the flow this time. After all he never lost a virtual fighting game before, so the odds were in his favour.
