'WHAT THE HELL JASON!' Sasha growled as she lashed out at the young wolf, who squealed out in remorse. Ethan arrived and immediately tried to defuse the situation, positioning his body between the two wolves. 'BACK OFF' Sasha roared. It was only when Alistair intervened that she began to calm herself, but still had the satisfaction of glaring rage towards her little brother.
Alistair quickly turned his attention to the young wolf, who was keeping low to the ground, with the smell of witch in the air he demanded to know what happened. So Jason sent his alpha images of the events as they happened. From the glowing light of ember he willingly followed into the woods, to the rustling of the trees above as a figure elegantly glided down. It stood motionless infront of the young wolf and if it wasn't for the ashen smell of witch still lingering in the air, Alistair would not have know what the creature standing there was. Its body was completely enveloped in a large mass of tattered furs as the blue flaming light circled around the wicked creature. Its light reflecting the glimmer of gold beneath its hood. The figure seemed to be luring the young wolf closer as it was Jason who closed the distance between them. A sudden flash of light consumed Alistair's mind, the memory ended, it was then that Jason timidly spoke out to his sister and alpha prince.
'I could smell wolf'
It was true there was an undertone of berry and a strange mix of mint. Not quite wolf Alistairs thought echoed to the others and Sasha was quick to snap back 'murdering Witch, she must have been wearing wolf furs. But you cant mistake the smell of burnt ash Jason, its practically permiating the air, Its a witch smell'.
'I'm sor.....' Sasha cut her brother off with a glance. Ethan tried to consolidate Jason as Sasha demanded to head home. Given the nearby danger Alistair lead the others back to the castle, back to safety. As soon as they exited the mountain pass Alistair felt his uncle trying to reach his mind, the link was weak but the message was clear, it looked like the alpha prince was to expect a late night lecture upon his return.
They strolled up towards the castle in thier human forms after redressing themselves. The village streets were almost empty except for the occassional patrol guard. As they neared the gate, Alistair saw the familiar shadow of his uncle leaning on a nearby post. Though shorter in stature his uncles wide muscular frame made him a force to be recokend with, even in wolf form he was regarded as one of the strongest in the pack. Which goes without saying when you are one of the kings Betas. His blond hair was kept short and he had the same striking blue eyes that Alistair and Alec inherited from thier mother.
Alistair detested his uncles ice cold stare, it made him feel like a pup again, vunerable to the punishment that awaited him and his betas. Even though he ranked higher in the royal pack, to Alistair his uncle was someone he respected and hated to disappoint.
As soon as they were within earshot his uncle spoke in a deep authoritive tone 'my office now' and he turned to walk towards the castle entrance, beckoning the young group to follow him.
