A grey-blue she-cat stepped out of the shadows from behind a sycamore tree. She stood in front of a small pool of water that reflected starlight off the night sky. Another cat stepped out from behind her, his golden coat shining in the moonlight. The grey-blue she-cat sighed, as she stared into the pool. “This young apprentice has trouble awaiting her... Her faith is hollow but there isn’t much StarClan can do.” “Bluestar, only she can help herself. ThunderClan will face difficult times and they need all the warriors they can spare,” replied the golden cat. “Trust.” The wise word spoken summoned many more cats. “But her father cannot be trusted!” protested one of the cats that just entered the the moonlit clearing. “If he can’t be trusted how can she?” Bluestar stepped forward, anger blazing in her blue eyes. “We are StarClan! We don’t give up hope on our cats!” She turned her gaze toward the golden cat. “Lionheart, we must do something to help this apprentice. If she doesn’t believe in us how can we guide her through the tough times?” Sorrow filled her voice. Lionheart looked into the pool. He saw a brown she-cat walking along with a white tom in thick grass, without her clan. “We can only do what we can.” He closed his eyes. “I see it too. She is going to be too late.”
