Chapter Two

Sapphire's POV;

After the run I went to get a bit of shopping, I went to reception to book the room for two more weeks when she got back in her room I watched some tv but there wasn't much on so I read one of my books that I didn't want to leave after I  had read a couple of chapters I started to fall asleep so I turned in early as I am at work tomorrow. When I woke, I went for a nice hot shower. After getting dressed, I had time to eat my breakfast without having to rush. I washed my bowl and spoon and then set off to work.

It was only a short walk to work. "Morning Sapphire you're early," Courteney said to me as she was getting ready to open up. "I wanted to get a handle on how things work before the morning rush," I said to Courteney.

 Courteney got to show me some of the ropes and how to use the cash register. "I think I got it," I said as I am a fast learner, then Kelly walked in just as the first customer walked in and sat down, Kelly and I went over to get his order. "Good morning sir can I take your order," Kelly asked the man "I would like a full cooked breakfast and a lager coffee please," he said to Kelly as she wrote it down as she showed me how the shorthand ordering went it only took about three customers for me to be able to do the shorthand. The days pass fast. I was enjoying working at the diner.

I had got to know some of the regulars, but my time there was coming to an end I didn't really want to leave as I felt like I was home. I also knew that I still had to find my family. "can I have a word with you after we finish up here," Courteney asked me. I sat and waited for Courteney to finish and to come out and talk to me. When Courteney same out of the kitchen, "Sapphire I have asked you to stop behind as I need to ask you if you wouldn't mind staying on for a bit longer as Kelly is moving away after her honeymoon." Courteney asked me.

" Let me think it over and I will let you know in the morning," I say to Courteney. 

"That will be fine, see you in the morning," Courteney says to me.

"Goodnight Courteney," I say as I leave work and head back to the hotel.  

Back at the hotel, I sat thinking of what to do, I wanted to find my family. I also never felt more at home here everyone was so lovely and friendly, I feel like I am a part of the family at work too. 

I asked Serenity what she thinks.  "It's up to you Sapphire," Serenity told me.

"I love being here we could stay for a bit," Serenity said to me. I decided to stay a bit longer then find my family. I went to bed as I was tired the next thing I knew it was time to be up for work. I got washed and dressed, then set off for work. "I will stay but for no longer than one year," I say to Courteney when I got to work.

"That is fine but I will miss you when you go," Courteney told me. 

I sat and told Courteney about my passed and some of what I found out and when the time comes that is the reason why I will leave.

"I can't believe that you have gone through so much and when the time comes and you leave and find your family," Courteney said to me.

 Every day felt the same work go back to the hotel change then go for a run into the woods then shift into serenity would run she would keep running if I said she could. 

We did this for just over a year and in that time serenity found the best way to go so we didn't go on any other packs land but as time passed the feeling of longing to reunite my family was getting stronger. I had this feeling that there was something or someone that I had a connection with I couldn't shake it. Time does fly; the link is getting stronger, and I needed to find it and my family. 

It was three months passed my seventeenth birthday, and I was longing to find my family. "Courteney can I have a word with you please?" I asked Courteney. "Sure what can I help you with?" Courteney asked me. "Well I am waiting to leave next week as I am wanting to continue looking for my family the only bit of information I have is that they lived in Canada so that is where I am going to start I have loved working here and hate to leave but I need to find them I hope you can understand," I tell her "I understand Sapphire I hope you find them," Courteney said to me. I am going to miss them all, I had planed with Serenity which way we were going we were going to head north to Everett.
