Olivia woke up bright and early the next day. She got up from bed and lazily stretched before glancing at the clock. Seeing that she still had more than enough time to freshen up and get to class, she looked obviously satisfied.
She casually got off the bed which was when she had the time to check up on her roommates. She glanced indifferently at Chloe and Emma and saw them still asleep but had no intention of waking them up, her gaze shifted over to her cheap half-sister, Zoe and seeing her lying all sprawled over the bed in her sexy outfit from yesterday and heavy makeup which she probably had no energy to change and clean up made her lips curl into a cold smile.
She knew that this sister of hers must surely have had an eventful night out last night before returning to the dorm as she didn't even know when she came back.
Suddenly feeling disinterested, she took back her gaze and went to take the clothes she would be changing into before walking into the bathroom as she didn't feel comfortable changing her clothes in front of people she barely knew.
After a while, she walked out of the bathroom already dressed up and her gaze collided with Chloe and Emma who were already up but sat on their beds with unhappy looks on their faces as they stared straight at her. Compared to Chloe who showed her anger directly on her face, you could only infer that Emma was unhappy by the frown on her face.
Already having a guess as to the reason they were unhappy, she selectively ignored the expression on their faces and greeted them with a bright smile.
"Good morning!", And then no longer bothered to care if they responded or not. She walked over to pick up her bag and laptop beside her bed and prepared to go to class.
Seeing that she was actually ignoring them and pretending not to know anything as she walked towards the door, Chloe who already had pent up anger in her exploded!
"Olivia! How could you not wake us up after you got up? You knew this was the first day of class in college and that it wouldn't leave a good impression on the professor if we were late!"
Olivia who was already in front of the door and was about to turn the door's handle and walk out put down her hand before turning back to them, puzzlement and bewilderment on her face while a cold light still flashed in her eyes from time to time. She asked in an innocent tone like she didn't understand why she would ask such a retarded question.
"But why should I wake you up? Like you just said, it is the the first class so you should have known how important it is but you didn't set an alarm or anything since you knew you couldn't wake up naturally early. Am I obligated to wake you people up? The answer is no because I am not your parents!", her voice turned cold at her last sentence but the creepy part was that she still had that innocent look on her face, making the whole situation look particularly strange.
"But... But... But we are roommates!", Obviously shocked at her cold tone and words, Chloe stuttered for a while as she tried to disagree with her before finally completing a sentence.
"And?", Olivia asked indifferently.
Chloe choked, made speechless by her indifference. She stared at Olivia like it was the first time knowing her, she just had a hunch that this was the real her.
Cold. Indifferent. and not the bright and cheerful persona she had showed before.
Knowing that she wouldn't be able to handle this alone, she doubted any of them in this room would be able to anyways. She turned to Emma who had come up with the suggestion that they should confront Olivia after they woke up to find out she was up but didn't wake them up, but who had not said anything to help while she argued alone.
Seeing Chloe looking at her suspiciously, Emma cursed her inwardly for being an i***t and not being able to settle such a small matter, she knew she couldn't avoid this matter any more without making Chloe suspicious of her motive.
She raised her gaze to say something but collided with Olivia's deep eyes which seemed to see through her and although she now felt slightly afraid of this unpredictable roommate, she bit the bullet and said cautiously,
"Olivia... What Chloe meant was that we are after all roommates and should help each other since we happen to live in the same dorm."
Olivia looked at her with ridicule as she remembered the flash of disdain she saw in her eyes when she looked at Chloe earlier.
'This was interesting', she thought to herself. 'Turned out I was right but it's still kinda boring since it took only a day before she showed her foxtail. It seems I wouldn't be able to have a peaceful first year in this room…"
While she thought this to herself, the expression on her face never changed.
"I think... Instead of confronting me for something as meaningless as this, you could have used the time to get prepared for class".
Like just being awakened from a long dream, Chloe quickly looked at the clock and screamed when she saw that she had just half an hour left before class began! She got down the bed in what you could almost call a record breaking speed and rushed into the bathroom.
Her scream on the other hand woke Zoe up, she sat up her bed in fright as she stared all over the room.
"What happened?! Who was screaming just now?", She asked with fright as her heartbeat raced.
Emma and Olivia turned to look at her disdainfully before the latter's lips curled into a wicked smile making Zoe look instantly wary knowing that whatever she was gonna say was definitely not going to be good. But she didn't expect that what she said was....
"Just so you know, you have less than an hour before class began and oh! don't forget the assignment too," After saying what she had to say, she opened the door and walked out leaving Zoe dumbfounded.
Seconds later, she heard a scream coming out from the door behind her and her mood magically improved knowing there would surely be chaos in the dorm this morning.
Was Emma going to be the one to use the bathroom first or would it be Zoe? There would surely be a wonderful show this morning, too bad she had to miss it!
