Cyrus rode into the lower part of the palace. He got down and instructed a few servants clear the store room so he can get the stuffs inside. Once they were all gone he went to where the food stuffs lie along with Agnes. He opened the cloth and motioned for Agnes to come down and preceded on his own.
“Please be careful. We are all at risk here. Don’t make a scene until you are about to go out.’’ He urged Agnes to which Agnes responded by giving him a friendly hug and a handshake.
“I will do my best. And I’m also not inexperienced.’’ Agnes boasted, Cyrus rolled his eyes.
Agnes bolted off. He stopped abruptly when he sensed some soldiers coming his way. He composed himself and walked by. Agnes got to the gate leading to the upper part of the Palace. He saw two soldiers at the gate. Unable to know what to say, he fell down and acted like he was sick. The soldiers quickly ran to him and tried to help him up. “I’m fine. I’m just a little tired. Can I get to the palace infirmary?’’
The soldiers looked at each other before one responded. “Why didn’t you go to the infirmary in the lower palace. The infirmary at the higher palace is only for the king and his family. Only the royal family has access to go there and get treated.’’
Agnes laughed and pat his chest a little. “I’m sorry that’s not what I meant. I’m asked to go to the infirmary in the upper palace to get some medicines. Since the upper palace has everything even when the whole country ran out of medicines.’’
“You are right.’’ The other soldier said. They opened the gate and Agnes went in. His mouth opened and his jaw hanging lowly as he stare at the magnificent view in front of him. The upper palace is a very big building. From the outside view one would say it has about a thousand rooms. No doubt about that.
The building is painted white, with rose flowers planted and braided by the corroded giving it an absolute good taste. It is a building with so many floors. The ground floor of the frontal side of the palace is so huge and big that it can contain about fifty people at once. It also has multiple windows.
There are two giant stairs leading to the top floor. That must be where the king resides.
Agnes moved away from the front of the palace and starts searching for the place Princess Flavia is held. He wandered for a bit searching thoroughly until he came across another part of the palace. It looks exactly just like the frontal he saw before. At the front he saw a huge statue there. Under the statue is a woman chained there. Agnes took a clear look at her face and saw that she must be around her mid-fifties. She has grey hairs which doesn’t seem like it’s from her age but from a long time of suffering and t*****e.
Agnes moved closer to her but saw that she was caressing a bracelet. She didn’t bother to look up as she thought they were probably there to make fun of her and shame her.
“Just get it done already. Don’t stand there.’’ Her voice came out so broken.
“No your highness. I’m here to free you.’’ Princess Flavia freezes. The voice sound familiar.
“Excuse me, who are you?’’ She asked. She tried to see his face clearly but she can’t. Probably because of her age.
“I can explain later but I’ve got to get you out of here.’’ Agnes said moving closer to unshackle her but she backed away. “Don’t come closer to me or I’ll shout. Now tell me who’s sent you?’’
“Master Kaeman orchestrated the plan I’m just here to get you out.’’ Agnes said.
Princess Flavia raised her shackled hands and spoke. “Let’s get out of here.’’
Agnes smirked. He cut off the chains and took her up.
“Hey stop there. What are you doing?’’ A soldier shouts but was cut short when Agnes slit his throat with his sword.
“Let’s go your highness.’’ He urges Princess Flavia and they took off. An alarm sounded and soldiers began to file in trying to find the intruder.
“Find HER.’’ A voice boomed out.
“And bring me the man that dared to get in here.’’ Another voice boomed but not as loud and authoritative as the first one.
“Yes’ my lord.’’ The soldiers bow and then being to scramble all over the place looking for the intrude. Meanwhile Agnes had just opened the safe passage. He threw the bottle on the ground, immediately the snakes fell asleep.
He took Princess Flavia’s hand and they walked out of the tunnel. They got to the outside with a wagon tied to two horses already waiting for them.
Cyrus’ plan. Agnes mounted the wagon and pulled Princess Flavia in and he rode out.
Just outside the secret passage door Agnes used to escape, someone stood there with his arms crossed over his chest. “This is Kaeman Klutz’s doing. I want that intruder found, it’s high time I put a stop to all of this. And I’ll make that old hag suffer more than ever.’’
“Dad don’t worry I’ll make sure they are found. I would like to see for myself the person who is brave enough to release her.’’
“Sirius, take some soldiers with you so it can be a lot easier. Whoever came in here is not only brave but might also be extremely skillful and strong.’’An older man spoke.
“Okay Grandfather. I’ll do that now.’’ Prince Sirius said.
