The Palace

Agnes rubbed his hands on his face furiously. He grabbed his sword. “I don’t know who the queen is but I’m going to do all it takes to restore peace and order.’’ He vowed. Amelitia smiled, Master Kaeman smirked. ‘Marcel watch out for we are done with your rubbish.’’ “So now what’s the plan? We can’t just barge in like that.’’ Agnes asked. “Yes. You are right. For someone cruel and wicked as such I’m such soldiers will be swarming in the palace.’’ Amelita said. “We also have intel about the palace. It has more soldiers than the ones deployed in the entire country.’’ Master Kaeman cut in, then continued, “There are thirty five thousand soldiers deployed around in the country. The palace has more soldiers. Fiercer, braver and stronger than the ones in the country.’’ “Why did he have to guard himself more than the country itself.’’ Agnes mumbled. Master Kaeman looked at Agnes and answered his question. “It’s easy. He knew he is not safe. Though King Marcel is strong and very skillful but he still can’t fight against thousands of soldiers.’’ “Now come you both.’’ He gestured for both Amelita and Agnes to follow him. They followed him into another room. The room is slightly different from the strategist room. In the middle of the room is a big table with a cloth covering whatever is on the table. “What’s that?’’ Agnes pointed to the table. Master Kaeman moved to the table and took of the cloth revealing a small scale building plan. “Is this what I’m thinking it is.’’ Amelita questioned. “Yes it is. It’s exactly how the palace is.’’ Master Kaeman answered. “But how could someone get in there to rescue Queen Flavia?’’ “Look at this place.’’ Master Kaeman pointed to a place on the small scale building plan. “This is where you will get in.’’ This place is a secret passage that only few people know about. That place is not heavily guarded just patrol soldiers passing by, King Marcel believes he has the key to it only. I also have one.’’ Agnes cut him off. “So how am I getting to that place exactly.?’’ “Remember I said we have someone on the inside. That spy is also a soldier, he will be coming to the country side today to get few supplies for the palace. So you will get into the wagon and he will get you inside. Not only that, he will give you a uniform to help you blend into them. That would make it very easy to get in.’’ Master Kaeman added. “The palace is divided into two parts. The upper part and the lower parts; The lower parts of the palace has more soldiers than the upper parts.’’ “And why is that?’’ Amelitia asked. “Well that’s because no one can get past the lower parts of the palace. No matter how skillful or experienced the people that tried to get in always had a bad ending, more like a gruesome end.’’ He added. “But that’s not it. Disguised as a soldier that would be easy. Just don’t act suspicious. That’s will give you away. There’s absolutely no problem once you get past the lower part of the palace.’’ “And the upper parts?’’ “That is more like another place entirely. The guards there are few. They are maybe three thousand in the upper part. They don’t sleep, their motive is to kill even flies that goes by. The king hired the best of fighters, mercenaries, assassins mention any of that they are present.’’ “Such a punk.’’ Agnes mused. “Yes. And here.’’ Master Kaeman pointed to a part in front of the kings main building where there’s a statue. Also there’s a cage there. “That’s where Princess Flavia is kept. She is kept outside. You don’t have to stress too much. They don’t really guard her since she’s chained there to suffer and no one else has really even gotten close to the upper part of the palace. Only soldiers on patrol passes by also. Once you break the shackles. You will get away from there as soon as you can in order to create unnecessary attention. If the king gets to know someone managed to free Princess Flavia, he would be furious and also want to interrogate the person and know the hideout of those who sent him. So I want you to be careful. Not only are you rescuing her but we are also at risk.’’ “Ok. So how am I getting away from there.’’ “A secret passage will lead you where to a tunnel. This tunnel has poisonous snakes, there’s a herbal mixture that puts them to sleep.’’ “Why can’t he just get in through the tunnel and save her once. That’s more easier and less riskier.’’ “The snakes can be put to sleep just for few minutes. Once they wake up they are in their most fierce and venomous state. A single bite can kill within a minutes. And they can only be put to sleep once in five hours. So you see this is a great plan, that’s why they call me the Strategist.’’ Master Kaeman smirked.
