Amelita drew out a sword and placed it by his neck. “Speak the truth or I’ll strike.” “I just told you the truth.” Amelita was about to strike when a voice stopped here. “What are you doing Amelita?” Master Kaeman came in. Amelita stopped and looked at Master Kaeman “I’m trying to get some information out of him.” She said. “This isn’t getting some information out of him. You want to kill him.” He stated. “Sir..” Amelita was saying but Master Kaeman raises his hand to cut her off. “You’ve had a rough day. You must be exhausted. Why not go rest? Then we can continue tomorrow.” He didn’t leave room for her to argue. “And release him, get him a room, good clothes and food. Our guest must be serving.” He added. This shocked Amelita. Master Kaeman doesn’t do well with strangers, he only respects the country’s wellbeing. “Yes. I’m very hungry.” Agnes said. “Good. Get him a room.” He said then went out. “You must be joking. What have you done!?” Amelita exclaimed. “I don’t understand.” “Why did Master Kaeman treats you that way. He doesn’t talk to strangers politely as he thinks they might be spies.” Amelita said while unchaining Agnes. She got him a room and have food served him there. She also got him some fresh clothes. Not long after eating, Agnes took a shower and slept off. *** Knock! Knock!! Knock!!! “Go away.” “Open this door Agnes. Master Kaeman wants to see you.” Amelita said from the other side of the door. “Okay. Will be done in few minutes.” He stood up and did his morning routine. When he’s done, he went out of his room. There he saw Amelita waiting for him. She was talking to another guy, this gave him the opportunity to look at her very well. Even dressed in a warrior outfit she looked so beautiful. A hand snapped in front of his eyes. “Back to Earth Agnes. He is waiting. Follow me.” Amelita walked away with Agnes right behind her. They got to the meeting place where Amelita was being honored to go on a mission. “Sit both of you. I would like to discuss a few things with you. Why are you here Agnes?” Master Kaeman cuts straight to the chase. “I told her already.” “I still want to hear from you.” He added. Agnes explained how he saw the golden anklet and decided to see the owner of it. How he climbed the mountain to get up, he also mentioned about how he watched them closely and also how he saved Amelita which earned him a glare from her. “Okay I believe you.” He said. “What!” Amalita exclaimed. “Is there any problem?” “Sir we don’t know him. Why would you believe him?” “He is saying the truth.” Master Kaeman stood up. “You are dismissed Warrior.” Amelita stood up and left. “.Agnes you really look familiar? I hope you are really saying the truth.” “Yes I am.” Agnes affirmed. “Then there a lot of mysteries you don’t know yet about yourself.” *** After the conversation they had in the morning. Agnes has been looking for Amelita but couldn’t see her. He looked everywhere but still couldn’t see her. Then he decided to take a walk to the river. He saw a familiar figure sitting on a rock close to the river. He walked over and sat beside her. “Go away.” She turned away from him. “No. Why are you so hard hearted. I left my home, my people. I still remembered the expression on her face when I was saying goodbyes to everyone.” “Is this what I get from the lady I have been dreaming of even before meeting her? You don’t have to love me but why chase me away when you know I’m not lying to you, even Master Kaeman believes me.” He added. “You just don’t understand.” “Then make me. Make me understand. I don’t have all the time in the world to stay here. Maybe I might try helping you out.” “And why would you help me? We just met.” Amelita fiddled with edge of the sword on her hand. Agnes took both of her hands in his and looked at her straight in the eyes, “I know you are having doubts and I know it’s going to sound stupid but I really love you.” “It’s insane. I know that. But I’ve been having possible images of you for the past few months but it all went down the drain when I saw you. I know you are a warrior. You have a fierce heart but I can assure you I really want you to be by my side.” “I can’t. I’m sorry. I’m a warrior. I have duties to fulfill. I have a mission to accomplish, one I’m not sure I’ll get out alive from. And I’m sorry for acting like that to you. I don’t mean to but I had to.” “I understand and that’s why I want to do this. I want to take the mission.” “Hell no! No way I’m allowing that.” “You don’t have to. I talked to Master Kaeman already and he agreed. “That’s not possible.” “It is. Hey look at me.” Agnes used his finger to touch her chin turning it to face him. “You are a great warrior. I don’t know why I’m doing this but it feels like I have to. This is the same feeling I got when I decided to climb the mountain.” “And don’t worry when I get back I’ll marry you.” Amelita blushed, but frowns immediately. “No. It’s still a no. I’m not letting you take my mission.” Master Kaeman was just relaxing when Amelita came to meet him. “Sir I heard there is a change.” “Yes Amelita. There is a lot you don’t know about Agnes.” “A lot? Does that make him qualify for the mission?” “That makes him more qualified. See I know you like him and knowing he came up here just for you is making you warm up to him.” He said. Amelita sighed. “Still...” “Live your life Amelita and be happy. We are setting this country free doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to make ourself happy.” “Still sir i don’t know what makes Agnes qualified for the mission.” “He looks so much like him.”
