The elders surprised me by saying that Val has two mates but both of us only have one- her. It could be that one of us (most likely me) is her second chance mate but it is odd if the bond between Val and Alpha Xander is active.
Either way, I am just delighted that I have Val in my life. Ever since meeting her my life has taken a turn for the best, granted at first it was hard because she was in a slump and needed help but once she opened up I saw the amazing gift that was given to me and I promised to always be by her side, no matter what. And that promise I will always uphold to the best of my ability. If it ever came down to it, I would choose Val over my pack. Every pack member knows this, and that is why we work together so well as a pack. Val encourages me to be the best
