Chloe's POV
We were driving home when Ethan suddenly stopped the car. I looked at him in confusion, wondering what was wrong.
"What happened, Ethan? Why did you stop the car?" I asked.
Ethan turned to me, his eyes holding so much pain. "I'm really sorry, Chloe. I'm truly sorry for everything my mother said to you. I really didn't know it was going to be that bad, otherwise I never would have gone there with you." He apologized.
I sighed deeply, I have no idea why he's saying sorry when none of what happened is his fault. His mother hates me so much, I'm slowly coming to accept that, and I'm never going to blame Ethan for anything when he's done more than enough already.
