Author’s POV
While Rose and Amanda were still discussing, they overheard the sound of the door opening. Amanda furrowed her brow because she wasn’t expecting any visitors, neither was this the time for her husband to return from work.
She shared worried looks with Rose, and stood to her feet. “One sec, let me go check who came in,” Just as she was about to walk out, the reason for the noise walked in. Her eyes widened as she screamed.
“Kara! My darling! Sweetheart, you’re back!” she rushed into the girl’s arms.
“Mum.” Kara chuckled as she embraced her mother.
“Oh my gosh, you told me you’d be coming soon, but not this soon! Why did you trick me, you bundle of sophisticated joy!” Amanda gushed as she twirled her daughter around to check her out.
“I wanted to surprise you.” Kara answ
