The day for the auction came sooner than expected, and Chloe made sure she wore the best clothes she had. She knew it was an event, and was well aware that Kara would come looking her best today; she wasn’t ready to be left behind.
She stood as Ethan and Ken discussed backstage. She used that opportunity to glance around the place, taking in the intricate designs and beautiful decorations. It was beautiful, and the atmosphere was way different from the time her penthouse got auction. This atmosphere was particularly tense, and she wondered if it was because she was mad at Kara, or the fact that she was surrounded by multi-billionaires.
