Ella didn’t feel the cold air. She was trying to stretch when her hand landed on something. She freaked out. "Good morning Ella," Jay said, smiling. He felt nice waking up beside her. This is all he ever wanted. Waking up to a beautiful smile "What are you doing in my bed? “Ella asked, looking worried. "You insisted I should say. I’m sorry, I think I should leave." "It’s okay. “she said, getting out of bed. “I’m going to freshen up, “she added, and left before Jay could say a word. She hurried to the bathroom and shut the door behind her so fast. She checked if she was okay. She tried remembering what had happened last night but she couldn’t, she must have drunk too much. She felt herself but she wasn’t sore and she still had all her clothes on. She looked at herself in the mirror and laughed. “He’s a gentleman, “she thought to herself. Although she was hoping something would happen, she was glad it didn’t. She showered and went back to her room but Jay wasn’t there. She wondered where he was. She dressed up hurriedly and headed downstairs to look for him.He was at the kitchen counter preparing breakfast. “Jay couldn’t help but notice that Ella looked perfectly beautiful. "Wow, look who’s cooking, “she said as she approached. “You are spoiled. I thought you didn’t know how to cook." "I only cook on special occasions," he said, laughing. "Is this a special occasion?" "You can say that, I just felt like cooking today." Ella tried pouring herself some coffee but he stopped him." I’m at your service today, sit down ill serve you. “Ella sat down and watched him. She loved how he was treating her. This made her like him more. She couldn’t remember the last time she felt this way. "What are you preparing? “she asked, trying to break the silence between them. "Be patient, you will see it soon." A few minutes later, he served breakfast; coffee, French toast, sausages and scrambled eggs. “Smells nice,”Ella said. “I'm sure you will love them.” He was passing her coffee when his knuckles lightly gazed at hers. A jolt of electricity sparked by her over-stimulated nerve ending. She pulled away so fast such that the cup fell down. "Are you okay, “he asked although he perfectly knew what had happened. It wasn’t his intention for that to happen. "I’m fine “she responded, trying to sound normal. She bent down and started picking up the broken pieces of glass. Jay offered to help. The tension between them was so much .Jay moved towards her and kissed her, while clasping her face. She responded , opening her mouth for his invasion, savouring the moment. When they were both breathless, they broke the kiss and stared at each other Ella took the broken pieces and rushed to the litter bin.She couldn’t believe what had just happened. Jay followed her, “I’m sorry I kissed you, it happened so fast." "Don’t be, I kissed you back and I don’t regret it, “She responded. "Let’s have breakfast, and we should pretend this never happened. “Can we maybe talk about it?” “No , that was a mistake, there’s no point in talking about it. It meant nothing.” Jay's heart dropped, he thought she liked him.He wanted more, more than just kissing her. He didn’t want to insist on anything, he didn’t want to piss her off. They took their breakfast in silence and when they were done Jay bid her goodbye and left. Ella stood at the window and watched him leave. She was having so many thoughts; she wasn’t sure she was ready to love again. She always saw relationships as a waste of time, but Jay had made him view things differently. She wanted him so badly, she wanted to feel him inside her. "Is this love or just lust? “she thought out loud. Jay knew for sure Ella had fallen for him, she could feel it when they kissed. She wasn’t sure whether to push on with his plans or just leave it. He didn’t want to hurt her like he did to Ashly. He had called the boys and he was sure they would be there in a few minutes. We kissed, Jay declared as soon as the boys joined him. "This calls for a celebration. “Mike said as he rushed to bring the drinks, "You finally did it, we are almost there, one more move and we are done, “Davies said. "Cheers to getting Ella, “They tossed Jay wasn’t a happy man; he hadn’t told his friends all the details about his bet with Dan. The other time the catch was the car. Whoever won Ashly over took the other person’s favorite car. This time round, things were a bit complicated. He couldn’t believe he agreed to Dan’s plan. "We have a problem," Jay said, pacing up and down. “I believe it's time I told you guys the truth. Whoever wins, Ella will take half of the other person’s company once we finish college and the company ownership is transferred to us. "What were you thinking, Jay? How could you do this? “Mike asked. "Ella is at your side now. Make sure it remains that way. Do everything you can to keep her. I believe it is a good deal, get Ella, take half of Dan's company’s shares, you win. “Davies said. "You don’t get it, "he shouted. It is more complicated than you think. I wasn’t in my right mind when I agreed to this, "he said, pacing up and down. "You can’t give up now, we will do all we can to make sure you win Ella." "I know I have got Ella. The problem is Ash. When we started dating, I introduced her to my family. Our parents met and they approved our relationship. A few months later my brother died, as you know. During that period, business went down and the only way to save it was if we could get into partnership. In short, half the company belongs to Ashly’s family. "We are doomed, “Mike said. So it means if you don’t get Ella, you will lose everything, since Dan will take half the shares of your company. The other half is Ashly’s." "'We can’t think of losing right now, focus all your energy on Ella. You win her over, you retain your shares and half of Dan’s. “Davies tried to encourage him. "You are stupid sometimes. How could you agree with this? You messed up big time. Dan could be cunning. He knew what he was doing. He knew if he took your shares, you would remain with nothing. I have a better plan. Your parents are financially stable, convince them to withdraw this partnership with Ashly’s family. If things go south you will have something in the end, “Mike said, "That’s a brilliant idea," Jay said, laughing. Hadn’t thought about that. We are taking that vacation next week. I need to be few steps ahead of Dan. He can’t mess with me.
