“The thing is…” Victor started.
I narrowed my eyes slightly, waiting to hear the rest of his words.
“…she is the one with our Alpha-Luna scroll.”
“What?” The word snapped out of me before I could stop it.
My brows shot up, genuine surprise breaking through the carefully controlled mask I’d been wearing.
“Seriously? Why would she do that?”
Of all the things I expected, that wasn’t one of them.
