~CELINE~ The warmth of his hand around my wrist lingered even after he released me, my skin tingling where his fingers had pressed. Those golden eyes held mine for a moment longer before he rose from the bed in one fluid motion, leaving me to process what had just transpired. My heart hammered against my ribcage as I watched him disappear into the hallway, his footsteps fading. I lay there for several minutes, replaying his words in my mind. "Don't start what you can't finish." What did that even mean? Was it a threat or a challenge? With Ragnar, I was learning that the line between the two was often blurred. He wanted me to be the woman Kane told him about and yet…the man still scared me. Finally, I forced myself out of bed and headed for the shower, knowing I needed to clear my head
