Chapter Sixty-Three

1009 Words

~CELINE~ That night, I had the same dream I had been hoping to avoid for days. The same feeling of sinking into a river of darkness with no way to turn, no way forward or back, just drowning in unfamiliar depths. And then that voice. Yet, after I woke up, I still felt like morning came too quickly, sunlight streaming through my windows and pulling me from restless dreams. I'd barely managed a few hours of sleep, my mind too full of yesterday's arguments and revelations. The bond felt like a constant ache in my chest, a reminder of everything I was trying to fight against. A knock at my door made me groan. "What?" I called out, not bothering to hide my irritation. "Time to get up, future Luna," Lilja's voice came through the door, tinged with amusement. "We have plans for you today."
