I released Nelson's head and slid out from under his limp body. As I stood I looked into his eyes, they were wide open and blank, staring up at the sky. I don’t know how long I stood there staring at him before Aric came into the circle and pulled me away from him.
He tilted my wet eyes up to look into his, “Baby, look at me,” he whispered.
I stared into his eyes, but couldn’t form any words. He quickly kissed away a stray tear that escaped my eyes and I snapped back into Luna mode.
I turned to Damon who had moved to stand on the other side of me, “please escort Nelson’s family to the burial site and then ensure they make it off pack territory,” I said softly.
