I stepped off the stage and walked over to Aric, placing my tiny hand in his, and used his scent to calm me down. Nelson is a hothead and I could use that against him if I could remain calm.
I gave our team a nod as they abandoned their spots to track down Nelson and his family. I walked us back up the aisle, heading for the packhouse to prepare for the challenge. Nelson had joined his family at the back of the crowd and our team was already on guard around them.
I saw Nelson smirked at Aric and I’s hands as we made our way up the aisle toward them. I ignored him and tried to walk by, but he grabbed my arm bringing us to a halt. Aric growled and tightened his grip on my hand, which only made Nelson growl and tighten his grip on my arm.
