It was dark when Meriwa finally woke up. The room was awash in dim, blue light that didn’t brighten even as she blinked her already-distant dreams away. It felt all too much like swiping at cobwebs only to find they were gone. The comforter was gripped in her stiff fingers, tucked firmly under her chin - her knuckles popped a weary turn when she pried them open.
