Tara then pressed a set of buttons in sequence, exactly as her father had shown her. Then, little by little, the canal began to fill with water. "But what do we do now?" she wondered, anxious.
Laura pulled her blouse wanting to gain her attention. "What do you want now, don’t you see that I am busy?" Tara said curtly.
"It's red," her little sister replied, pointing to a red lever.
"You're right. But how stupid am I?" Tara replied and caressed her tenderly on the head, "since you were a baby you had a weakness for red, I need to listen to you more."
Without a second thought, Tara lowered the red lever and a mechanism dropped the submarine into the canal. "Everything is ready…all that remains is for the others to come and we can run away," she commented with satisfaction.
