Inside the elevator, Clara took out a mirror from her handbag and looked at her face. She still had good looks and it was most evident. Surely, she would make a good first impression.
However, she couldn't understand the reason behind Lillian's action a few moments back. It really seemed as if the lady was harboring negative things in her heart and was just looking for the perfect opportunity to spill them out.
Well, she finally had. And, if that secretary thought that Clara was going to sit down and digest it all in silence, then she is wrong. Definitely wrong. Clara wasn't that type anymore. She had changed. And, she was going to make sure that no one took advantage of her any longer. The elevator doors opened and she walked out of the building.
