Lily picked up the phone and called home.
Mary answered on the third beep.
"Hi, mom." Lily said in a way of greeting.
"Hello, Lily. It's been a while since you called."
"Has it? It's been just three days," Lily explained.
"You know that this place gets boring day by day and I do not know what to do with your father most of the time."
"Well, you married the man and his antics so you should know how to keep up, mom."
Mary sighed. "Why don't you come and spend time with us, Lily or let me come around instead?"
