ESMERAY STONE

The sun was a bit scorching, I sat in a small shade watching as different people passed To and fro. Well, that's the only job I have for now.

I've been hunting for jobs but none of them accept me, some even offer me a job that I should come for an interview then later they will say I am not fit for the job.

My certificate surpasses those they hired for their company.

What is wrong with me? Nothing, I'm qualified to be an accountant. My credentials are fine, talking about beauty. I'm beauty itself.

Well I know it's all the doing of my bad luck, maybe what Rihana always speaks of me was true.

I graduated from college with good grades in accounting.

No one dares to challenge me, even in school sometimes I help my aunty seek out some problems in her business, but she didn't appreciate it.

Living with my heartless aunty and her daughter Vivian the age difference is just two years.

Everything about my life is strange.

Bad luck lurking around me, with strange voices around me, and strange nightmares.

My aunty always mistreats me which I'm used to, nagging and more like a violent beating, insulting, calling me sought of hurtful names especially the one I hated to hear, a daughter of a witch.

She said my mother killed my father and sucked her blood dried, but I always believed none of this happened. Witches are not real in my world, I don't believe in dark magic, it only happens in movies.

Rihana always scolded me to find a job to feed her and her daughter.

The only family I have is Cherilyn. We both graduated from college, and even though she's walking with low stipends she will always buy dresses and shoes for me. She's also a makeup artist. She learned that from her mother.

"What did I even learn from my mother, I don't even know her" I muttered as tears escaped my lips.

Anytime I want to remember the past I will feel pain all over my body. I don't even remember my mum.

I was already lost in my teaching, when an incoming call came into my phone, "Bestie"

"Hello, good aft..." I didn't even finish when she half yelled

"Hey! What's wrong with you do you forget again that today is my birthday" Cherilyn yelled from the phone

Oh my goodness I forgot to wish her happy birthday, why do I always forget?

" Esme,are you there, come to my house now! Cherilyn said

"Yeah. Sorry it slipped my mind,I will be there," I said as I hung up the phone. I took a cab with my last money and headed to her house.

Cherilyn apartment

Loud music is being played inside her apartment, this girl again. I open the door, her room was all messed up,

"what the f*ck" I muttered as I stood on my track.

"Taaa. da" Haya and Cherilyn screamed in surprise. I was surprised, haya is back from Mexico, I rushed towards her and gave her a big hug that almost made her fall.

"I missed you"

We are three best friends in college, me, haya, and Cherilyn, we always help ourselves in any way. Haya's parents decided to take Haya to Mexico for 2yrs, and now she's back. "You gave me a big surprise, even though I was to give Miss Cherilyn a gift," I said and hugged the two girls.

"Now that we are reunited as the three college best, let's rock the Party," Cherilyn cheered happily.

"Yes, Let's Rock it," I said out of the blue.

Chery dressed me in a short white red party gown, the dress is gorgeous, a little bit revealing. Matching it with silver heels.

My face was plastered with cosmetics.

"Oh my goodness, look what you transformed," Haya said in amazement.

I frowned and looked at the mirror and a smile found its way on my lip ,

"keep smiling like that, it looks good on you. Now let's go to the XX club, " Chery said. Haya owns a new car so we zoom into the club.

XX Club

The club was lousy, girls were dancing and swaying their butt. Men are smoking cigarette at the same time as drinking.

Smoke mixed with strong alcohol filled the air, almost choking because of the bad smell.

We sat in a corner, looking at the view in front of us. Haya ordered beers. We drank and chatted for a while when Cheryl spoke up, her cheek flushed red. She drank so much of the alcohol.

"haya, Esme let's go to the dance floor," Chery said in her drunk state.

"No no, you guys should go, I am not interested," I said as the two of them walked to the stage dancing crazily. I looked at them and emptied the beer on the table leaving the can. I needed to go to the restroom, I staggered to find my way to the restroom not knowing which one , I think it's the female restroom. I opened the first door, I splash water on my face, and I heard the door close. A huge drunk man came in smirking in his drunk state.

"Sexy lady, what are you doing here," the drunk man said as he walked closer to me. "What do you mean by that," I asked,

"I would like to see how you taste".

A man was seen drinking wine in the VIP session with a dangerous expression, even the waiter did not dare go closer to him, the only thing he could do was to clear his mind.

The wine won't have any effect on him even if he drinks thousands of it, he's the only alpha of the hunter pack.

His vision traveled through the whole club as far it could, his ear listening to every move in the club while is eyes searching for someone who was in danger.

he scanned all the whole sessions in the club until his eyes stopped at the door of the washroom.

he sees everything through the door a man trying to r**e an unconscious lady, without waiting for another second he was already at the door of the washroom that was locked inside.

He kicked it with his leg, and on a hit, the door went flying on the air before it finally landed on the floor. He saw the man with his hand trying to dipped into the lady's pants

"Leave her!" he said in a low voice with a warning.

"Who are you, this is my business, not yours," the man said as he walked closer to Marcus and hit him hard on his chest.

Marcus just looked at him angrily even though he didn't feel a single pain, even an iron won't hurt him.

"You've bitten a lion, and you will regret it" he roared and slapped him as he went flying in the air.

He rushed towards him and punched him continuously until blood was gushing out of his head. Marcus turned to the unconscious lady lying on the floor coughing, because of the strong wine she took with a little smile.

"My handsome hero," Esmeray said and laughed, her eyes shut.

heavy rain started, he turned to walk away, but The lady's hair turned White grey, the hair was black a few minutes ago, how come. He was confused when Mark, the alpha beta, walked in and witnessed it.

"Very Rare, half witch" Mark sniffed as he studied her, who was already sleeping. "Take her with you" he said as the beta took him and teleported back to the mansion.
