Tyrell returned from the prison looking like he'd seen a ghost.
He came through the safe house door without saying anything to Marcus or the agents stationed in the hallway. He walked past them and found Ziva in the kitchen and looked at her for one steady moment, then said: "Come with me."
His voice was quiet. Controlled.
He collected Elise from the sitting room on the way through. Elise took one look at his face and stood without being asked.
They went to the car parked in the safe house garage. Tyrell turned the engine on and connected his phone to the speakers, filling the enclosed space with music at a volume loud enough to matter. He checked the car's interior carefully before he sat back and turned to face them.
