Chapter 1: Who is Money?

1944 Words
Money JR was in a business presentation as a requirement in graduating from college, the presentation was about their sales for the past term in around 6 months of operation, he had his partners with him, Robert and Michael, for establishing a simple food product business that would be easy to sell which was pickled products such as mangoes, cucumber, cabbage, etc. They've chosen this kind of product and business at first because it doesn't involve that much maintenance since it can be stored for years, the ingredients for making one are extremely cheaper plus they're aiming to support local farmers as most ingredients are from local farms.  They've spent 6 months trying to distribute the products for consignment and resell for relevant stores around their city which worked out fine as for a college student that has already consigned 5 storesestaurants. It was amazing until they realized that it was already the turnover of sales record which was somehow not good since most of the consignment has just recently started.  JR: Although we did not reach the quota, we managed to reach at least 50% of what was required for sales.  Robert: Here are the receipts and sales records.  Panel Adviser: I remember saying that you needed $1,000 of sales and that's not even big for a 6 months period.  JR: Yes sir, but we spent time looking for consignees and we would expect to get the sales higher longer than expected, but we assure you it would reach probably higher than the quota. Panel: Adviser: Look, we had an agreement about the quota, no quota means no passing grade.  The panel adviser even looked like he's not even interested in talking to the team, so stopped the presentation and went out of the room. Panel Adviser: So we're done here with your unrealistic business.  After he went out Michael suddenly talked in frustration Michael: I don't get it the other teams have already got their passing marks without having an existing business and some didn't even have a sales record at all. Robert: Seriously? I heard them saying that they paid the presentation under the table just to get that passing mark. Michael: Then why wouldn't he allow us to pass if we have a business and a little bit of sales? JR was thinking deeply of what happened while hearing these words from Michael and Robert that he already knew about right after the presentation even came. He then asked the both of them to take walk out and do some thinking.  Robert: So JR what's the plan?  JR: Maybe call Michael's mother to talk to him, maybe he'll get scared or something? Hahahaha.  Michael: Dude, I'd definitely do that.  JR: Nah, I think he just hates me so bad. Most teachers from their course program have always had that look on JR's face for being stubborn and talkative with his plans in life and college. JR became the student organization president of their program last year lining up a series of activities and events for the students. He organized the biggest expo and bazaar ranging from 30+ concessionaires, bigger than most main events the school has ever had, he has attended multiple business pitching competitions that some are even sponsored by the government, participated as a speaker in seminars on topics of livelihood, ideation, and entrepreneurship. But what he had in return? He never got recognized for any of that from the faculty members, the sales from the events all went for an outreach program as the school required to and the expense also skyrocketed for not having enough sponsors unsupported by faculty members, as if the organization is actually doing business for social responsibilities and not earning at all, most of the activities that involve inviting popular people for a talk show or seminar got sabotaged by the organization adviser which was also the panel adviser for their business by simply calling off the event in the last minute. In return from the student members, rumors spread that he was the worst president that the organization ever had and it was all thanks to the panel adviser's lectures during class on not forgetting to talk sh*t about him all the time based on a story from JR's friends in the freshmen. He was even rumored for taking all the funds of the organization for personal use since he wasn't able to give out the paid merch in time due to distributing the funds across multiple expenses to the organization.  Not even once someone asked how he did it, how did he managed to pay for the debts, how he was able to produce the merch, or how he brought the organization away from the adviser for his selfish agendas.  As this was in JR's mind he got so angry and frustrated at the same time thinking that this sh*t is enough just so he can get out of the school on his way to graduation. Walking on their way out of school with his partners he saw the other team for a business named "Cafe Carts" passing by and calling them out in public.  JR: Hey Cafe Carts!, What were your last sales? Did you reach it?  The team suddenly walked away slowly and scared from their direction, already knowing what's it about. Cafe Cart Leader: Ah... Ah.... $200?  JR: $200?! I can even get you $200 right now just to pass.  So did you reach it? Leader: Ahh.... uhmmm... No.  JR: So why did you get a passing grade already? Leader: I don't know, we just saw our grades turning to passing grades after the presentation. As JR was talking to the other team he saw the panel adviser  3m to 5m away from them on his way to the office building door so it was a fortunate event for JR's rage.  JR: Sir! Sir! Here's Cafe Cart, saying they had a $200 quota which was really low compared to our $1,000 quota, and saying they already passed  As for the look of it, the panel adviser was already caught red-handed with his biased decisions, didn't stop walking, and spoke in a hurry. Adviser: Those guys owe me for that, and they're gonna pay it.  The Cafe Cart team did not speak at all and left So he got into the building in a rush, followed by JR and his partners forcing a conversation with the adviser. JR: Sir! Why are they passing with that kind of quota and we're not? Adviser: That business has nothing to do with you, they have a different case. JR: And what is that? just so they could pass? Adviser: Their documents were put on hold in the Bureau of Internal Revenue for missing a document during the business registration process that's why they don't have sales.  The truth be told that they have passed even without a proper operation, the fish was caught in his own mouth, JR did not even mention that the Cafe Carts did not even exist, because he did believe that it existed as he saw these Cafe Carts in certain events. Maybe the adviser was just creating an alibi, maybe he panicked for seeing a student trying to win a conversation with him, so he had to say some complicated stuff that he thought JR would not understand. But he got it all wrong. JR: So you're saying that they have been passing without a business operation?  Adviser: No, they had an operation but they just postponed it.  JR: So it means we get to pass for having a business that exists, with a little quota to reach and we are fully operational from day one until today. Finally, he raised his tone on JR trying to avoid the argument. Adviser: You know what! You should just shut up, you're just full of talk, but you're nothing! Robert saw JR about to explode in front of a crowded place in the building lobby, as he knew that JR would not stop to win the argument, so he signaled JR to stop and started talking to the adviser. Robert: Sorry sir, but please give us a chance to pass, tell us what we need to do.  Adviser: First of all, you guys are always late with documents, 2nd your documents are not even complete, so why would I give you a chance? JR: Because we have a business and the passing one doesn't have one. Adviser: I told you to shut up!  While he points his finger at JR he looked irritated while JR was already smiling because he knew he won the argument. So finally the adviser decided to make a fair decision out of it.  Adviser: Okay fine, give me a $150 quota in one week. So we could see if that business has really something to say.  And he left walking upstairs to his office not hearing Robert out anymore.  Robert; Okay sir,  we'll do our best.  Robert asked Michael and JR to walk out of the school first before planning the quota. After getting out they didn't actually plan, instead they talked about what happened as if it wasn't that serious.  Robert: Dude! I really thought you're gonna punch him Michael: I was completely speechless and don't know how to process that. JR: If this doesn't work out, maybe call your mom about it.  Michael: That's exactly the first thing that came out of my mind after he rejected as at first.  Michael's mother is a cardiologist and also the doctor of the panel adviser since he's getting old with that biased personality, while this adviser is so into ladies, just like how easy it is for him to pass the Cafe Cart with 3 female students in it. He even got reports about s****l harassment in school for calling out students with short skirts and asking them to make it a bit shorter, he's also caught every day putting his arm around beautiful student's shoulders and yes beautiful students only.  Why Michael's mother? Michael told his team before about her mother visiting their adviser about giving them time to prepare the documents to start the business because Michael was out of town and not able to finish the documents needed, so on the spot, the adviser agreed without any deal and even passing their grades for that term without hesitation.  JR: But damn, I hate that guy, sorry guys, but I think you're just getting affected with his grudge on me.  Robert: Why is he even mad at you, you're the last president our program had, and you're not dumb.  Michael: Maybe he hates JR for being a fanny magnet, HAHAHAHA.  Robert: Maybe. JR: Dude, he just hates me coz I keep winning arguments with him, and fingers are pointed at him when the student organization crashed because of him. Although I had a lot of haters, I got more backers that believed in me.  Robert: That's JR the persuasive guy.  JR: Yeah dude! that's why you came up to team with me hahaha.  Robert: And also the narcissist one.  Michael: I agree, except for the narcissist one. got your back body. (While patting JR's back) JR: Look I'm tired maybe we should just talk about this tomorrow, so let's go home now.  Robert & Michael: Okay, bye.  Robert & Michael went home riding Robert's car as they live together as Michael to be the housemate and Robert who lives alone as his parents live abroad.  JR went back to a local cafe to relax a bit and to meet up with Aris and Tonny.  ---------------------------- Next Chapter 2: Who is s*x?
