The warm breeze rustled through the trees as Mia and I strolled around the college grounds, enjoying the fresh air. My mood had been off since morning, my thoughts consumed by Ian and that girl I saw him with. I hadn't shared my feelings with Mia, but she could sense something was bothering me.
“Feeling better?” Mia asked gently. I forced a small smile.
“A little. It’s nice to get some air”.
As we walked past the field, my attention was caught by a familiar figure sitting with his group… Ian. My heart skipped a beat.
Mia noticed my gaze and nudged me playfully.
“Want to go that way?” I shook my head quickly.
