(Aurora’s POV) The hours felt endless as I stood near the edge of the ballroom, my feet aching in my heels and my energy waning. The constant buzz of conversation, laughter, and music blurred into a monotonous hum. All I wanted was to leave and retreat to the solitude of my room, but Owen was still deeply engaged in conversation, his charismatic demeanor captivating everyone around him. I glanced in his direction, my nervousness stopping me from approaching him. ‘Would he be annoyed if I interrupted?’ I didn’t dare to find out.
