Aurora stood frozen in the dimly lit hallway, her mind replaying Ryan’s confession over and over again. His words, filled with raw emotions, echoed in her head, refusing to fade. ‘You will be the first and only last person to enter my heart’.
Her heart pounded. ‘Why hadn’t I said anything? Why did I just stand there?’ She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t even notice someone approaching until a gentle yet firm hand touched her shoulder.
“Aurora?” She blinked and turned to see Asher, his brows furrowed in concern.
“What happened?” He asked, scanning her face.
“Are you okay?” Aurora opened her mouth, but no words came out. She couldn’t even form a coherent thought, let alone explain what had just transpired. So, she just nodded.
