After our emotional moment, Aurora and I remained close, neither rushing to break the silence that had settled around us. The weight of my confession still lingered in the air, but there was no tension, just a quiet understanding between us.
Aurora wiped her tears and pulled back slightly, offering me a small but genuine smile.
“Thank you for telling me” She whispered. I nodded, a soft chuckle escaping from my lips.
“I don’t think I could’ve kept it inside any longer”.
She laughed lightly, the sound easing the heavy emotions that had filled the room moments ago. I reached for a pillow and tossed it behind me as I leaned back against the headboard. Aurora shifted, settling comfortably beside me, our shoulders touching.
