Aurora stepped into the grand lobby of Ryan’s office building, her heart thudding slightly against her ribs. She smoothed her palms over her dress, taking a deep breath as she spotted Mia waving at her with a bright smile.
“You made it!” Mia said cheerfully as Aurora approached.
“Nervous?”
“A little” Aurora admitted, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Mia nudged her playfully.
“Don’t be. We’ve got this!”
They walked toward the reception desk together, where a well-dressed receptionist handed them their intern ID badges.
“Welcome, Miss Aurora and Miss Mia. You’ll be working on the design team. The briefing has already started on your floor” Aurora nodded, gripping the badge in her hand...She could do this.
