The morning sunlight filtered through the wide glass windows of the secluded lake house, casting a warm golden hue across the room. Aurora stirred in bed, a soft ache reminding her of the night they had shared, a night full of love, vulnerability, and new beginnings. Her cheeks heated slightly, but the soreness was quickly forgotten the moment she felt Owen’s gentle hands on her back, caressing her softly as he helped her sit up.
“Let me take care of you” He murmured with tenderness, brushing her hair away from her face. Aurora nodded, her lips curving into a sleepy smile.
Owen had already brought her a warm towel, helped her freshen up slowly, and made sure she felt comfortable. He kissed her temple every now and then.
