(Owen’s POV) Next morning, the warm sunlight filtered through the large windows of dad’s study as I entered. Dad seated behind his mahogany desk, looked up and gestured for me to sit. “I have an important matter to discuss” He began, his tone calm but firm. I sat, crossing one leg over the other. “What is it, dad?” “There’s a business party tonight hosted by Mr. Cavendish. It’s crucial that someone from our family represents us” He said, his eyes steady on me. “I assume you’re attending then” I replied, my tone neutral. He shook his head. “I can’t.
