The next morning, the atmosphere in the Skylar mansion felt lighter than usual. Aurora walked into the dining room, expecting the usual stiff and formal breakfast routine, but to her surprise, all four brothers were already seated.
They still weren’t talking to each other personally, but the awkwardness that always lingered had faded slightly. Aurora took her usual seat beside Ian.
“Good morning, everyone” She greeted with a bright smile. Ian, still groggy from just waking up, muttered.
“Morning”.
Owen simply nodded in acknowledgment while sipping his black coffee. Asher was scrolling through his phone, but his lips twitched slightly, almost like a suppressed smile. And Ryan, who always carried his usual composed expression, gave a small nod in return.
