Aurora was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding Alexander’s hand in one and her mother’s in the other. And in that circle of warmth and silent strength, the room felt more like a sanctuary than ever before.
A peaceful silence lingered until Alexander shifted slightly against the pillows and looked toward the window.
“I want to go outside,” He said suddenly, his voice quiet but firm. Aurora turned to him immediately, concern flashing in her eyes.
“Outside? Papa, the weather is still a little chilly. Maybe we can open the windows…”.
