Prologue

Mars Orbital Science Facility, Zone M-1, Year 2275

The eternal light of the Martian sun reflected off the hull of a robot towering 15 meters high. Behind the insulated hangar glass, Mechatronic 1 (M-1) stood upright, radiating a quiet aura of triumph. Its left shoulder now bore a Heavy Plasma Cannon modified by Riko Tsunoda, its muzzle emitting an almost invisible magnetic field a tangible proof of the technological breakthrough just achieved.

In the control room, amid the silence after the celebration, Riko Tsunoda stared at the display. The analysis curves showed satisfying results: Warp-Signature Cloaking remained stable, the Plasma Cannon penetrated standard armor, and the Piezo-Quantum system operated efficiently.

So why would a young Director need to create such a perfect and secret war machine?

In the corner of the room, Agent Han Shui of the FIA (Federal Intelligence Agency) moved through the shadows, a constant reminder that threats, though no longer visible, still existed. Threats that might come from beyond the borders of the UFSS, or more frighteningly, from within.

Below, Imelda Shanti, the ace pilot of the Federation Defence Force Navy (FDF Navy), looked at M-1 not as a machine, but as a promise. A promise to protect every inch of Federation space and to provide a critical advantage to the Federation Marine Force (FMF) on the ground. She knew that behind Article 41 of the UFSS Constitution, which prioritized science and life, lay an urgent need for weapons capable of withstanding any potential downfall.

M-1 was not yet perfect. Tomorrow, Riko would push it to the highest stage: full integration of the cloaking system and trials of the light-speed Wave Rider Mode.

M-1 was a contradiction in the Year 2275: a symbol of peace maintained through destructive power.
