Konrad and Karla met Kelly, the last witch of the Magika Coven at the entrance to the packhouse. The tall slender lady with pointed features extended a well manicured hand out to Konrad before embracing Karla in a brief but friendly hug. 'Thank you for joining us at such short notice Aunty' Karla muttered, mid squeeze. 'Oh you're welcome child, goodness what is family for? Now, where are Cassandra and Rachel? We have work to do' she replied with a quick clap of her hands before stalking off inside the packhouse. Konrad lead her to his office to meet the others while she discussed her sisters trip to Cambodia with Karla. 'Yes, mother did say she wouldn't be able to make it today unfortunately' Karla's mother had once belonged to this coven of witches before meeting her father and leaving to become the Luna of the Obsidian Pack. Since retiring their positions to her brother and his mate 7 years ago, they have been travelling around the world. He opened the door to reveal a shorter flame haired lady sat on the leather sofa next to a taller lady with mousy waves that fell down to her waist. Kelly scanned the room, to see an agitated Jax pacing back and forth, her eyes fell upon Kade who was perched on the end of his father's desk and she shrieked in excitement. 'My goodness boy, you are like a carbon copy of your father!' She took a seat in the vacant armchair before launching straight into gathering as much information as she could. * * * Kassidy watched in the mirror as Jane twisted pieces of her hair into an elegant up-do. She wasn't much of a conversationalist but she was friendly enough, with a smile that reached her eyes. 'How's that?' she questioned after pinning the last piece in place. She held a mirror up shakily behind Kassidy so she could see the back of her head reflected in the mirror in front of her. 'It's beautiful Jane, thank you' she smiled in appreciation. This girl really was talented. Jane sighed in relief and curtsied graciously. How odd Kassidy thought. 'Are you alright Jane?' Jane's teary eyes widened slightly as she strugglef to contain her emotions. 'Oh Jane, what's the matter? Sit down and tell me' Kassidy pleaded. She looked at the door and back to Kassidy before whispering her confession. 'You're not safe here Miss, Alpha, he-he's given you something, he's made you forget who you are' Kassidy gasped, was this true? 'What makes you say that and who's the Alpha?' Kassidy whispered. 'Please Miss, I'll be in so much trouble if he finds out that I've told you. Your name is Kassidy, Alpha Clayton is not your betrothed. He's kidn*pped you and made you forget' Kassidy couldn't believe what she was hearing, why would anybody do that? She was stunned into silence. 'Try to remember who you are Miss, please. You're the daughter of Alpha Konrad, you're a very powerful wolf and that's why Alpha Clayton wants you' A wolf? Okay, Jane was clearly out of her mind. 'I'm not a wolf Jane, what are you talking about?' Jane nodded enthusiastically. 'You are Miss, and you have powers. I overheard him talking, he said you can teleport, so come on, quickly teleport out of here' Suddenly there was a knock on the door, a tall muscular man poked his head in and eyed them both suspiciously. 'It's awfully quiet in here, is everything okay?' Kassidy was still in shock at Jane's words, where on earth had she conjured up such nonsense? 'Y-yes, just finishing off Makeup, we're almost done' Jane smiled nervously. Kassidy could feel the tension between Jane and the man at the door, a nervous energy buzzed throughout the room. It suddenly dawned on Kassidy that Jane was scared of him. With one final inspection of the room, the man closed the door again and left them to it. Jane let out the breath she was holding. 'You don't have much time Miss, I have to go, someone will come to collect you for the ceremony in half an hour' Jane gathered up her beauty equipment and left with an apologetic smile. Kassidy was left feeling completely bewildered by what she had just been told. If she really possessed magic like Jane told her, how would she know? She held her hand out in front of her and twitched her palm, but nothing happened. This is stupid She held our her hand again, just out of curiosity and willed something to happen. As she twitched her palm, a bolt of blue came shooting out and smashed the mirror on the vanity table in front of her. The door to her room flew open as the man from before barged in. 'What was that?' he growled. Wait, did he just growl? 'I don't, I don't know' Kassidy answered honestly, for she didn't know what that was. He peered at her through squinted suspicious eyes. 'How long until the ceremony?' She tried to pull his focus to her before he noticed the cracked mirror. '20 minutes' he huffed. 'Okay, I'm just going to use the bathroom' she smiled nervously. 'I have an anxious bladder' Darting into the ensuite and locking the door before he could protest. She curled herself up into the corner of the bathroom in a panic, everything Jane had said about her powers seemed to be true. Who was she and why was she in this place? She needed answers and quickly. * * * 'So you're saying we can locate Kassidy by using some of Kade's blood?' Konrad raised an eyebrow. 'It's not an absolute guarantee, but I can try' Kelly explained while grinding up a concoction in a pestle and mortar. 'With Kade being her twin, he has the closest DNA to Kassidy. We can use a drop of it in a location spell to hopefully find her' 'Then what are we waiting for, let's do it already' Jax huffed. 'Let me guess, you're the mate' She smirked with a glint in her eye. 'Patience dear, we're almost there' She unfolded the map onto the desk in preparation before pricking Kade's finger. She squeezed it until a few drops of blood fell into the mortar. The witches began chanting as Kelly ground up the mixture further before sprinkling it evenly over the map. Everyone watched in fascination when the blood started to pool together in one spot. After a few seconds Kelly shook off the debris to reveal the location of the red dot. 'She's there' Her finger pointed to a spot 25 miles east of Silver Lake. Jax growled in frustration. 'We searched all around there, we found nothing but trees' 'Yes but you never searched for her with our kind' Rachel replied with a smirk. She elaborated upon noticing the confused faces before her. 'I bet whoever took her has a witch helping them, if they cast a strong enough concealment spell, your wolves would have ran right past it without realising' 'We need a plan' Konrad's voice was confident and commanding. 'We cannot go in there all guns blazing, if they see us they might hurt her' 'Way ahead of you big man' Rachel smirked again, flicking her long hair over her shoulder. 'They might have a strong witch, but we're stronger. As long as you stay in a tight formation, we can cast a concealment spell around you and your warriors.' 'Yes, and I have a potion that will mask your scent so they won't smell you either' Kelly added. 'So it's decided, Jax gather up the warriors, we're moving out in 10 minutes' Konrad ordered. 'Yes Alpha' Jax replied as he was already half way out of the office door. 'What if she's not there?' Kade whispered the unspoken question burning in the back of everyone's mind. The three witches exchanged glances before Cassandra spoke up. 'Then we'll need the whole coven'
