Mistake

Aashish hailed from a poor family in the kingdom of Fling. He was the youngest child with two sisters (Elena and Princy) and a brother (Arthur) before him. His family was poor and his brother was ambitious since childhood. So, most of the goods the family could afford were all used by his brother. His two sisters were not given much care by the family because they were girls and Andrew himself was too lazy to fight for those things.

One day, Aashish heard his eldest sister,EIena, talking to his other sister .

"Haha, I am the only planned child of this family. You are just a mistake. " Eleanor said jokingly.

"Yeah Yeah. Like I dont know anything. Our parents wanted a boy so I was planned since you were a girl too. All four of us are planned." Princy replied.

"Hah! You only know the half truth. Our parents only wanted Arthur. But we came before him. Otherwise only he would be born."

"If they only wanted Arthur then why did they give birth to Aashish?" Princy asked, puzzled.

"He was really a mistake. Our father even tried to abort him but mother didn't let him. She ran away from house and came after giving birth to him."

"Seriously? So that's why father doesn't care much about him."

Aashish was listening to their conversation from outside and he was shocked. He felt angry that his father had considered killing him. And he had dreams of being a great man and helping his family. Aashish was very sad after knowing the truth. The only thing that could keep him smiling was that he still had his girlfriend (Mia) who loved him dearly.

She was his classmate and he had confessed his love to her just two days ago. Mia too, expressed her love for him and said that she wanted to live with him forever. Knowing that she would understand his pain Andrew called her.

"Hey Aashish! I was just going to call you. Do you know what happened today?"Mia said in a happy tone.

"What happened?" Aashish inquired.

"John proposed."

"Who did he propose?"

"Obviously me. Haha."

"Ohh wow. You didn't block his number i guess?"

"No. But I told him that I won't talk to him now. I still love you." Mia said in a hesitant tone.

"Should I be happy about that too? Wow. I am so happy tod-" Aashish was still speaking when the call disconnected.

John was also a classmate of Andrew but he hailed from a rich background. Maybe that was why Mia was so happy when he proposed.

Aashish's sadness was amplified by what Mia said and the sadness turned into anger.

So,money is all that matters in this world ,huh. Everyone only wants money. If nobody loves me ,then, this world doesn't deserve my love.' Aashish thought as he walked out of his house.
